Fitness has been my life for the past 14 years.  A personal endeavor to lose weight, became a career for me.  In my early days of fitness I was into endurance exercise.  I completed two half-marathons, several 5k & 10k races and two sprint course triathlons….then I met my husband (at the gym of course).  He introduced me to resistance training.  I fell quickly in love with both him and the iron.  I spent a couple years lifting weights and competed in two natural bodybuilding competitions.  My fitness routine these days is a combination of both resistance training and heart rate based cardiovascular training.

I am married and have two boys ages 13 & 14.  When I turned 35, I told my husband either a baby or a puppy.  I am the proud mom of a Shih Tzu named Gizmo.

In my spare time I can be found working out, reading & researching anything related to metabolism, nutrition & fitness.  It really is my passion!

In addition to keeping this site chock full of education and current information I also keep a personal blog.  There you will find my personal notebook in the sky….workouts, daily eats, random thoughts & stuff about my life in general.
